JOIN US to celebrate #ChildrensHospitalsWeek 2020!

The Lauren Small Children’s Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital is excited to invite you to support children’s health during Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ third annual #ChildrensHospitalsWeek. From April 6-12, 2020 our hospital will be sharing how you can help change kids’ health to change the future.

How you can participate in #ChildrensHospitalsWeek 2020:

  • Wear a bandage and post a photo on your social media accounts while sharing that children’s hospitals like our Lauren Small Children’s Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital need donations using #ChildrensHospitalsWeek. Get your own FREE #ChildrensHospitalsWeek bandages at freebandages.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org.
  • Share on social media how you are committing to change kids’ health to change the future during #ChildrensHospitalsWeek.
  • Start a fundraising campaign for our hospital, create a fundraiser on Facebook or directly donate to us on CMNHospitals.org/donate to help kids like 2020 Local Champion, Kayson Hanly.

Kayson’s Story:

Just days before his 13-month birthday, Kayson was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a blood sugar level of 850.  He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  He was the youngest local diabetic patient treated in the PICU at the Lauren Small Children’s Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.  Currently there are more than 1,000 pediatric diabetic patients in Kern County.

Kayson is a happy and healthy kiddo who loves to ham it up for the camera!  Kayson was selected as the Children’s Miracle Network Local Champion in 2019 and 2020.
