Panda Express® Donates KN95 and surgical masks to Dignity Health Memorial Hospital

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting medical professionals on the frontlines in Bakersfield, Panda Express® has donated 1,920 KN95 and 6,000 surgical masks to Dignity Health Memorial Hospital for protection when treating patients.

Through its philanthropic arm, Panda Cares, Panda Express has created a COVID-19 Community Care Fund, in which all guest donations are put towards sourcing and providing PPE to hospitals. In the midst of this public health crisis, Panda remains steadfast to its evergreen mission of protecting, inspiring and bettering the communities they serve. “Panda is deeply appreciative to your hospital and all of your staff for the heroic work that you do to serve those in need. We hope that these masks not only provide medical help but also encouragement to your community to continue to fight the good fight!” said Amy Cheng with the Panda Cares Foundation.

The Lauren Small Children’s Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital is proud to be Kern County’s only CMN hospital. In 2019, Panda Express associates and guests donated $237,763 through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital fundraising program managed by Panda Cares to help us care for the well-being of children in our community.
