Huddle to Heal Program a HUGE Success

Last Fall, the Golden Empire Youth Cheer and Football (GEY) organization founded the Huddle to Heal program. This was the brainchild of Teresa Williams and Chiann Wheeler who is a GEY Cheer Coach and former Children’s Miracle Network California Champion.

This program honors all childhood illnesses with their bright tie-dyed t-shirts that were sold to raise funds and awareness for our Children’s Miracle Network program here at the Lauren Small Children’s Center at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

The program was a huge success. They raised $1,565 in their first year and presented a check to our hospital today. They have set a goal to raise $10,000 in 2019. Wow!
