Flat Champions Pop Up in Walmart & Sam’s Club

“Flat Stanley” has been used for decades to help kids learn about different people and different places using traveling, colorful, kid-decorated cutouts. In a similar manner, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates were recently introduced to a “Flat Champion” to help them get to know a local pediatric patient, see how their efforts impact their own communities and ultimately, feel connected to the cause and motivated to raise more funds for the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital during this year’s campaign.

Watch this 1-minute video to see how that process worked:

With the campaign now in full swing, check out just a few of the 100+ Flat Champion posts we’re loving:

Beyond the social media posts, some hospitals — like Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Nebraska, Lauren Small Children’s Center in California, Children’s of Alabama and Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital — have also featured their Flat Champions in blog posts.

Whether you’re scrolling through your social feeds or strolling through your local Walmart or Sam’s Club, keep an eye out for a Flat Champion in your area. And remember, every dollar donated stays in your community to help the real kids behind the Flat Champions.
